Server Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and friendly Restaurant Server to join our team! This position play a big role for creating and providing best customer experience and satisfaction. Your ultimate goal should be to provide an exceptional guest experience.

 

The ideal candidate will have open availability, be availability during upcoming holiday season, commit (no-contract) to working for a year, and be well-equipped to perform the following tasks:

  • Provide excellent customer services

  • Greet customers and present menus 

  • Make suggestions based on their preferences

  • Take and serve food/drinks orders

  • Up-sell when appropriate

  • Arrange table settings

  • Keep tables clean and tidy at all times

  • Deliver checks and collect payments 

  • Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff

  • Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines

 

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • 1 year of experience as a Restaurant Server (Preferred but not required)

  • Experience with developing constructive working and interpersonal relationships with colleagues and customers

  • 1 years of experience with cash register and any ordering information system (Preferred but not required)

  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

  • Team player

  • Good time-management skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

  • Active listening

  • Good physical condition

  • Customer-Centric

  • High school diploma; food safety training will be considered a plus

 

Work Environment 

• There will be time when Servers are asked and required to perform duties beyond the normal requirements of a Server, such as: Cross-training in other departments, maintenance in and around the building, and snow removal.

 

Employee Housing 

• If needed, full-time Servers will have their own room in a house with a total of 4-bedroom & 2 bathrooms, about a mile and a half from the place of work.

• Employee housing is for employees only

• Employees must ride a snowmobile or a vehicle with tracks to and from home and work during the winter months (approx. December – April).

• If an employee does not have a snowmobile or other means for winter transportation, like a side-by-side with tracks, Arrowhead Mountain Lodge will provide the employee with a “company” snowmobile.

•  It is the employee’s responsibility to properly maintain the company snowmobile with gas, oil and to report any issues with the vehicle to their direct supervisor as-soon-as-possible.
